Depending on how you look at it, this very first post-to-be-turned-into-page-someday, about “Rock Star Identity Work” is either:
– premature
Since the best analogy I have come up with, the first way to explain the method that makes it more tangible less abstract, is an analogy about about tea and a teapot. 
Which is way too uncool to sell something with the word Rock Star in it
-or obsolete
Because I never started with this theoretic concept, but this concept describes best what I DO. And what I think other methods do not do. So the theory behind it (Rock Star Identity Work) has been created as a label for something I have been doing instinctively and have recognized as my truth, since the 20th century.

So if you can get past these objections let me explain what Rock Star Identity Work is, and why it is the basis of the yoga workshops, as well as all the mentoring at Catacombe, and in particular of the 3 hour session “The Rock Star” which I always highlight at the bottom of every post.

Rock Star Identity Work means that instead of looking for guidance or change in what it is you do, or want to be doing (compare it to the idea of “doing what you love”, “follow your heart”, “do the work you’re passionate about”), you start with WHO you need to be, to let that work be of service.

Your passion can be baking bread, but in order for that to make a living, you have to embody/ be, someone who can serve bread.
You have to be a teapot, not keep fussing over the tea.

The tea will be there. You love making tea, you can’t NOT make tea, and not a day goes by without you watching TikTok videos about the most exotic teas, about tea competitions, watch what other tea connaisseurs are doing, and so on.
The tea stuff, the bread baking stuff, the you making music stuff, or the me teaching yoga stuff;
That is not where the problem lies, my friends.
Nor the opportunities, which is even more relevant.
Let the tea take care of itself, you will never be a day without it, we know that.

But the teapot on the other hand? Oh, that is where the problems are!
Because we have to find/ embody, a teapot that is not just big enough and with the right characteristics to hold, keep warm, and serve the tea;
The tea pot also has to be appealing to the ones we’re serving the tea to.

And people change, tastes change. Both us as well as our clients can change, so maybe we start being crackly teapots, spilling the tea. Or maybe our type of teapot goes out of fashion.

The chances that our teapot, representing the way we offer tea (our art, our services, our products), is no longer en vogue are higher than the chance of the actual beverage in the teapot no longer being in fashion.

Rock Star Identity Work means in an abstract sense, that you first adopt or step into your Rock Star persona, and THEN, you align your business and art, and everything you do accordingly.

In the analogy of the teapot, it means you first focus on what type of teapot you really feel at home at being.
What container would you like to be?
A container that holds a beverage for thousands of thirsty runners?
Or one that serves tea for one or two, in a 60 minute tea ceremony?

The work you love doing cannot create the container for your work, anymore than tea can create the teapot to hold it.

Your yoga practice not working?
Rock Star Identity Work says:
Create a container by stepping into the identity, of being a yoga practitioner.

Your business not working?
Rock Star Identity Work says:
Step into the identity, of being an entrepreneur.

Your art not selling?
Rock Star Identity Work says:
Step into the identity, of being a successful artist.

On this website I continuously emphasize, that if you have a passion, work that flows out of you, and that you cannot NOT do;
That is your gold. 
Your gift.
There is no doubt, in my mind at least, that that is the work you came here to do.

Your next step is to look for the right teapot, the right identity, to serve that tea, to show yourself to the world and that will serve your work, to your clients.

Most industries only have ONE type of teapot. So in yoga it’s group classes, meaning that all yoga teachers are almost conditioned to share their work in that way.
When a lot of yoga teachers would probably make way better teapots for private classes or teaching for organizations, or even better teapots to be Rock Stars who teach entire stadiums.
Yet teaching yoga classes for your local community was the only type of yoga teacher teapot any of us ever saw. 
Even though, with regard to different yoga lineages, teacher trainings and yoga philosophies (how it should be taught) a multitude of different approaches existed.
There was diversity in the tea, but all teapots were expected to be the same: teapots that teach group classes in local communities.

Everything up until now, goes for any aspect of life; parenting, sporting, diets, your finances.
You need to resist focusing on the what or the how (the tea) and step into the identity, of the person who rocks that area of life, in the way you think it should be done.
And then the how, the what, will naturally flow from there.

But: If you want to be the actual Rock Star?!
Different rules apply!
Or not different rules, but then you have basically already decided on a set of values and principles.

Rock Stars embody freedom, Rock Stars are comfortable with big audiences, Rock Stars are confident!

So if you know, if you feel, that unless things get to that level?
You will feel constricted, small, stifled, inadequate.
Then you have your answer.

You need to be a Rock Star teapot.
A big bold teapot that can serve whatever the hell they please, and yet it will have people eager, to buy whatever it is they serve next.
And waiting for the encore.

1. the earthly plane
Your possessions, worldly matters, income streams, worries and responsibilities you fear you can’t meet.
A helpful term could be how do things look from the perspective of financial freedom, or worldly freedom.

2. your purpose
What is the work you love doing, what are the moments big or small, that you know you are aligned. Has God told you, what you’re here for?
This is about creative freedom, or even karmic freedom.
Are you free to do the work, that is yours?

3. your Rock Star expansion
What is the fullest expression you are here to bring?
And what are the areas you’re playing small, as if cut off from your powers?
We investigate if in those areas, the rules you play by are yours, or society’s.
“3” is related to sexual freedom.
Like anything, it is up to you if that is part of our conversation or not.

Because all three points are just a suggestion, they offer a good framework providing one hour for every topic, to go deeper looking for answers.
But the setlist is not fixed.

I have merely built the stage for us, and we have three hours.

It is up for you to take it.
