Welcome, Rock Star.

This is unusual, let’s not pretend it’s not.

Contrary to other artists, your work is not the grinding-days-to-years-for-the-outcome-type. Neither do you operate like a business, your goal is not to sell. Not even to sell people on an idea.
You’re not even here to grow an audience, per se. 

Although all of those things may also, or may one day, be your work (as well).
But those more popular ways to be an artist?
It is not what we are going to talk about, and we both know it.

This phase of your life, whether it is a season or your destiny;
It is not easy. 
And we should stop pretending it is, but in particular we should stop looking for the contours of something “real”.
Because this is it;

Messenger 2026:
1. You receive the message
2. And you deliver it.

It is tempting to see you as a contemporary artist, because your work exists on  that cusp of hitting “post” or “send”.
It does not exist in the vaults of everything that never saw the light of day.
And neither does your work exist in the connection around your message.

There is no aftercare, nor do you wait around for the praise or the likes.
Because a next message is already coming through.
And if not, then your body needs attuning.

You need to clear the line!
The next message must come through pure.

Your work will not leave a legacy. Few will remember you.
Your winged feet will not leave imprints.
One day you will be gone, and you will not leave behind that massive, heavy, immobile body of work that we, the others, do.

The more you let go, the more you will achieve.
Let your structure, your investment in the “real” things in life, be in setting up the system for you to receive, to distribute, and to regenerate.
If you are overburdened and not free to speak your mind, you cannot do this work.

But I did not finish my sentence there. I said:

But you’re not contemporary, just because you will use the internet a lot, to share your message.

You are the original artist.

It is the lightest work, that holds the biggest weight.
