Like with the 5 senses, I got so used to there being more that I forgot what the normal amount was.
We say “the 6th sense” when we mean things based on intuition, on instinct or even paranormal.
It’s everything that cannot be perceived with the other 5 senses:
Taste, smell, sight, hearing, and feeling.

But where the 6th sense is basically an umbrella term, naming dimensions seems to be a science.
Even though to someone remarkably uneducated on the subject (me), what lies beyond our dimension is as much of a black box as everything outside our senses.

My guess is dimensions are a more competitive field, probably due to more scientific involvement.
When no one cares enough to specify the term 6th sense.

I have heard the 3D being extrapolated up to the 12th dimension.
With the 5D being a popular sphere to talk about on YouTube.
According to spiritual YouTube channels, many of us are ascending into this 5th dimension, but the realm of the 3D stays around for those who are not ready to ascend.
The dimensions intersect and it’s not a rapture where the baddies get left behind.

I’ve also heard the fourth dimension being one of love, of the heart.
So if you live from selfless, pure love, then you are in the 4th dimension.
But despite remembering these things from 2024-ish YouTube, I consider myself dimension illiterate.

I did consider diving into it today, so I could tell you what I learned. But the first thing I read is that there is no consensus. Physics, mathematics, and spirituality all have different interpretations of what dimensions are.

So I figure we might as well resort to only having one word for everything not in the 3D.
