Listen to the whisper to the world
See the changes in the air
And drown out everything fake

The truth will hold.

It was hidden in the vegetation, but you could still see the entry with the paddling pool to clean your feet before you entered the pool behind the bushes, on the small road that led to a nursery.
But it had been deserted for a long time.

The water was pitch black, with huge lilies.
Trees were leaning in from all sides, throwing their shadows over the tiles that surrounded the pool.
The doors of the changing rooms were open. The roof still in tact.
The place was buzzing with the sound of insects and birds, and yet the absence of human sound made it seem deserted.

That is how I imagine the world around us now looks;
We are no longer there.
The place is deserted.

We are still here physically of course, but our attention or our consciousness (however we prefer to call it) has been carried away by the internet, but mostly by our phones. Because I was already addicted to refreshing my email browser in 2005, but nothing compares to what has happened to my mind since I got a smartphone, to which I was late, 2016.
We’re no longer here.

For the first time in human history, we are no longer mentally occupying the space around us. Just like that pool, the place is deserted.

And I think nature took over, just like it did with the pool.
Or God, or the Universe.
So in a way, everything that still happens today has to be supported by higher powers, because we are no longer there to will things into existence.
Something, has taken our place.

If we find back that entry point, the dry concrete of the old paddle pool;
Then the pool is still there.
The world we drew our attention out of, 2016-ish; Still there.

And it has not been waiting.

After a long period of silence, where I was probably building a new pool somewhere 😉 , my Rock Star work is back!
Raw, unfiltered, and hopefully better than before.
But let’s keep it at “back”, for now.
